How to Set Up Right Drawing Size for iDraw 2.0 A4 Plotters?

Go to iDraw 2.0 Control Extension, Choose Options->Config->iDraw Model: iDraw A4.

Why my Auto Home function not working well?

Here are some tips for using Auto Home.
1. Check that the contact switch cables are connected correctly, follow this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B4nb2k6eAc
2. Manually move the X-axis trolley to the left as far as it will go, and check if it hits the X-axis contact switch.
3. Manually move the Y-axis trolley to the rear as far as it will go, and check if it hits the Y-axis contact switch.

What should I do if I press the red button and the machine stops? Can I resume the plot?

Yes, you can resume your work after pressing the red emergency stop button. Once pressed, the machine will pause and wait for further instructions. To continue:

  1. Open your Inkscape software.
  2. Go to the Extensions menu.
  3. Find the Resume section.
  4. Select Resume (From Home) or Resume (From Where Paused) depending on whether you want to restart from the beginning or continue from the exact stopping point.

👉 Tip: Always make sure to choose the right resume option based on your project progress to avoid overlapping or incomplete drawings.

Can the Z-axis adjust the working distance?

Yes, the Z-axis can adjust the working distance from 0 to 10 mm.

Can pen-down time be controlled?

Yes, pen-down time can be controlled.

Does the machine support G-code commands?

Yes, it supports G-code commands. The motherboard firmware is compatible with GRBL.

Can the Z-axis lift and press smoothly with a payload of around 30–35 g (like a solid steel probe Ø10 mm, length 5 cm)?

Yes, it can. The machine supports loads up to 200 grams and a maximum diameter of 15 mm.

If it's possible at all to change the setting for how much the pens can be raised/lowered? 

The code limits the height of Z-axis in default, you can adjust the following settings as images to get more flexible.

Adjust the height from 10 to the height you expected like 30 on self.options.pen_pos_up and self.options.pen_pos_down.
